Confederation Park
Confederation Park is a stunning and very large park in downtown Ottawa that serves as a key venue for many events, including Winterlude, Ottawa’s Canada Day celebrations and the Ottawa International Jazz Festival. It features a beautiful fountain that you can sit and relax by.
Brewer Park
Brewer Park, on the north side of the Rideau River, is a beautiful Ottawa park with stunning water views near Carleton University. It also has an awesome pool and arena, play structures for the kids to enjoy, and a great community garden. In winter, it is home to an impressive speed skating oval, two hockey rinks and Canada's largest Legal Graffiti wall under Dunbar Bridge.
Andrew Haydon Park
Andrew Haydon Park is another beautiful park located along the river with breathtaking water views. It also features great biking trails, dog-friendly areas, and a well-used bandstand. It’s even home to a beautiful waterfall named Keeley Falls in the western end of the park just over a little bridge.
Major’s Hill Park
Major’s Hill Park is located near ByWard Market. It’s not just beautiful, it’s a piece of history! It’s actually the first official park ever created in Ottawa. It’s been an oasis in the city for almost 200 years. It boasts some of the city’s best views -- including views of Parliament Hill, the Ottawa River and the Rideau Canal Locks.
Gatineau Park
Gatineau Park is a vast and gorgeous park that extends from Ottawa into Quebec. It’s technically a conservation park meaning it’s very well maintained and features unique vegetation and wildlife. It’s a great place to enjoy recreational activities too, like hiking, swimming and camping.
